Q: What services do you offer?
A: I can transform a space and make it subtly elegant to dramatically powerful through the use of glazes, paints & textures. Techniques can range from a beautiful glaze that simply enhances an area to a two-dimensional finish that will have most people asking, “How did she do that?” Outdated cabinetry can be given a fresh look without the cost of installing new ones. Trim, molding & doors can be matched to existing cabinetry or a marble finish can be added to columns, insets, etc. that will amaze your guests. I offer creative and artistic solutions for your surfaces.
Q: How do I get started?
A: First, give me a call at 727-642-1688 to set up an appointment for consultation. I will come out to your location and based on your needs and fabric samples, paint colors, tile or any other samples you have, we will collaborate and come up with a finish that best works for you.
Q: Is there a consultation fee?
A: The answer to this question varies depending on your location & my schedule there may be a nominal fee.
Q: Do I need to work with a designer or decorator?
A: It is not necessary that you work with a designer, though many people find it helpful. Designers are indispensable when it comes to color choices, furniture and fabrics. If you like, I would be happy to suggest the right designer for you.
Q: How do I get on the schedule?
A: To have your job scheduled, I must first receive a 50% down payment. The remainder will be due upon completion of your project.
Q: How much are your services?
A: My pricing varies from project to project. Some jobs are very laborious where others may be very easy to complete but the product may be very costly. The location of project and equipment used are also put into the pricing equation. Nevertheless, I will always work with you to get you the best price possible.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare the room?
A: I will let you know if there is anything out of the ordinary you need to do prior to my arrival. If you have any large furniture or breakables, they will need to be removed, along with window treatments. If necessary, I can suggest a moving company for your needs.
Q: Does Grand Illusions only work on walls?
A: Absolutely not. I have done extensive work on ceilings, furniture and just about any other surface that can be painted. Check out my gallery to see a variety of surfaces and finishes I offer.
Q: Will my project look exactly like the sample board?
A: As with any hand-finished creation, you should always expect slight variations. The sample board is a representation of what you will get, and I make every effort to match it. Often times, variables such as existing wall texture or lighting can have an effect on the overall look of a project. And finally yet importantly the elements also play a roll with the over all results of a project. Regardless, I will make sure that you are happy with the over all project before I consider the project finished.
